Meet the Hosts

Matt Gerasimovich

(left) is a PhD candidate in the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at Northwestern University. In 2022, he successfully defended his master’s thesis “Hegemony on Screen: Gramsci, Early Soviet Intellectuals, and Constructing Culture.” He graduated summa cum laude from The George Washington University with a double major in International Affairs and Russian Language and Literature. He was awarded special honors for his senior thesis “Aesthetic Theory and Theatrical Practice: Sergei Tret’iakov’s Role in Redefining Art in the Early Soviet Union.”

Cameron Lallana

(right) is a Content Producer and writer at NBC Bay Area. He’s also an AmeriCorps and Stockton Service Corps alum. Cameron obtained his B.A. in International Relations from the University of California, Davis. While at Davis, Cameron worked with the campus radio station as the Head of International News and host of KDVS News’s Saturday show.
